Empowering Communities
Forward Vision (2026–2028)
Our Vision
Over the next three years, Malak Foundation will build on its established partnerships to deliver ethical, community-centred programs that strengthen social cohesion, expand skills and opportunity pathways, and support locally led development initiatives in Australia and internationally.
Our approach is grounded in transparency, accountability, safeguarding, and long-term capacity building—ensuring our work delivers meaningful and sustainable outcomes for individuals and communities.
Strengthening Community Outcomes in Australia
Malak Foundation will continue to support initiatives that improve outcomes for culturally and linguistically diverse communities across Australia. Our work will focus on programs that promote inclusion, skills development, workforce participation, and community wellbeing, while contributing to stronger, more connected communities.
Skills and Mobility Pathways
Over the 2026–2028 period, Malak Foundation will continue to support two structured visa-linked pathways, delivered in collaboration with approved sponsors, host organisations, and community partners:
TBB Program
Supporting skills development and workforce-aligned pathways that respond to identified needs, while maintaining clear governance, ethical recruitment practices, and appropriate participant support.Temporary Activities Sponsorship Program
Facilitating short- to medium-term participation in training, research, professional development, and community-based activities in Australia through structured sponsorship arrangements.
Across both pathways, Malak Foundation’s role focuses on:
Program facilitation and participant support
Clear, transparent processes for applicants and partners
Strong safeguarding and integrity measures
Supporting positive participation and community connection during the approved period of stay
Platforms That Enable Access and Inclusion
Malak Foundation will continue to support and introduce digital and community platforms that improve access to information, services, and opportunity—particularly for communities facing structural barriers.
These platforms are designed to:
Improve transparency and trust
Reduce fragmentation across service systems
Support informed participation and connection
Enable scalable, community-driven solutions
Technology is applied as an enabler of inclusion and collaboration, guided by community needs and lived experience.
International Engagement: Research, Science, and Local Development
Supporting Researchers and Scientists
Through our partnership with African Science Frontiers Initiatives (ASFI), Malak Foundation will continue to support researchers and scientists by:
Facilitating access to research networks, collaboration, and mentorship
Supporting skills recognition and applied research pathways
Strengthening links between research, innovation, and real-world impact
In-Country Programs and Local Partnerships
Malak Foundation will continue to support locally led, in-country initiatives in Sudan and neighbouring contexts, delivered in partnership with trusted local organisations.
Priority areas include:
Education and youth engagement
Community wellbeing and social cohesion initiatives
Sports-based and cultural programs, including the Sudan Disc Federation
Livelihoods, micro-enterprise, and skills-based projects
All in-country activities prioritise local leadership, sustainability, safeguarding, and long-term community resilience.
Partnerships, Governance, and Accountability
Strong partnerships are central to Malak Foundation’s impact. Over the next three years, we will continue to strengthen collaboration with community organisations, academic institutions, governments, and international partners.
We will maintain robust governance and accountability systems and invest in monitoring, evaluation, and learning to ensure our programs remain effective, ethical, and responsive.
Looking Ahead
Malak Foundation’s forward vision is centred on partnership, trust, and practical action. By strengthening local programs in Australia and continuing our international support for researchers, scientists, and locally led initiatives, we aim to contribute to communities that are more resilient, connected, and empowered to shape their own futures.
