Community Awareness Campaign
Malak Foundation Collaborates with Creativa and SCAV on Anti-Racism Community Awareness Campaign
Malak Foundation is proud to announce a powerful new partnership with Creativa, a Melbourne-based creative studio, and the Sudanese Community Association of Victoria (SCAV) to produce a community-focused anti-racism awareness campaign.
This initiative brings together deep grassroots understanding, creative expertise, and a shared commitment to building inclusive, respectful communities. The campaign is being developed with SCAV as a key steering organisation and stakeholder, ensuring that the project is grounded in lived experience and reflects the voices of those directly impacted by racism and discrimination.
Creative Storytelling for Social Change
With the support of Creativa’s skilled team of storytellers, animators, and designers, this campaign will feature a series of engaging and accessible digital content—including short videos—that shine a light on everyday racism and offer practical, compassionate ways to respond.
The content will be relatable, multilingual, and community-informed, addressing issues faced by multicultural and migrant communities, and providing tools that encourage unity, empathy, and shared responsibility.
Community at the Core
SCAV plays a pivotal role in guiding the project’s vision, contributing decades of experience in advocacy, community development, and youth engagement within Victoria’s Sudanese and broader African diaspora. Their involvement ensures the campaign genuinely reflects the challenges and strengths of the communities it seeks to serve.
Together with Malak Foundation and Creativa, SCAV is helping to shape messaging that is not only informative but also empowering—amplifying the stories and strategies that can create real change from the ground up.
Looking Ahead
The campaign is currently in development, with a public launch. Once released, it will be shared widely across community networks, schools, social media, and cultural events to spark meaningful dialogue and action.
This collaboration is a testament to what can be achieved when grassroots organisations, creative professionals, and communities come together with a shared goal: to confront racism, celebrate diversity, and build a more just and inclusive future.
