Malak Foundation Partners with Turath Organization
Strengthening Humanitarian Impact: Malak Foundation Signs Strategic Partnership with Turath Organization for Human Development
Malak Foundation is proud to announce the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Turath Organization for Human Development, marking a new chapter of collaboration in humanitarian and development efforts across Sudan.
This partnership, formalised on July 25, 2025, is rooted in a shared commitment to improving lives through effective, dignified, and community-centred interventions. As humanitarian needs across conflict-affected regions continue to grow, this agreement represents a critical step in aligning resources, knowledge, and networks to deliver tangible, sustainable solutions where they are most needed.
A Complementary Partnership
The MoU reflects the complementary strengths of both organisations:
Malak Foundation, based in Australia, brings expertise in international relations, resource mobilisation, and coordination with global donors and institutions.
Turath Organization, with deep operational roots and grassroots presence within Sudan, offers proven capacity in delivering direct humanitarian assistance and community development programs.
Together, the two organisations will work to implement joint projects in key sectors including energy, water, education, health, shelter, protection, and economic empowerment.
Key Areas of Collaboration
The scope of cooperation under this agreement includes:
Co-developing and implementing humanitarian and development projects
Exchanging technical and administrative expertise
Coordinating data collection and needs assessments
Conducting joint advocacy and awareness campaigns
Seeking joint funding opportunities and resource sharing
A joint coordination committee will be established to guide strategic planning, manage project delivery, and ensure accountability.
Shared Values, Clear Vision
Both organisations are united by core humanitarian principles — humanity, neutrality, independence, and non-discrimination — and by a vision to serve conflict-affected and marginalised communities with transparency, equity, and respect for local capacity.
“This partnership strengthens our ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, while also investing in long-term development pathways,” said Fawaz Ateem, Chairman of Malak Foundation. “We are excited to collaborate with Turath Organization in empowering communities to recover, rebuild, and thrive.”
A Framework for Impact
As we move forward, the Malak Foundation and Turath Organization invite partners, donors, and stakeholders to join us in building a stronger, more resilient future for Sudan and beyond.
